Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 August 2026
1. Who we are
POS by 0Gravity (“0Gravity”, “we”, “us”) is an Android point-of-sale app for restaurants, food stalls, carts, cafes, and similar food counters. The Android package name is com.zerogravity.pos.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the POS by 0Gravity app, our marketing website, and related onboarding support — and how we use it. It is written for Google Play’s User Data policy as well as for restaurant owners who use the product.
2. What this product is (and is not)
POS by 0Gravity is counter billing software: menu and prices, Cash or UPI as the payment method you select, Bluetooth thermal token or bill printing (58mm / 80mm), on-screen receipts if the printer is off, daily and monthly sales views, and void of a bill with stock put back when stock tracking is on.
It is not a customer self-order or QR table-ordering app, not a delivery or aggregator app, not a multi-cashier staff-login suite, and not a GST filing or tax-audit product. We do not process your diner’s card or UPI payment inside the app — you take Cash or UPI yourself and only record which method was used.
3. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run your restaurant account and the POS. We do not build advertising profiles from your data.
- Account: owner name, mobile number, optional email, account status, and last login time. Restaurant owners sign in with a one-time password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile. There is no public self-signup; 0Gravity onboards and activates the restaurant.
- Restaurant: stall or restaurant name, restaurant phone (printed on tokens if you set it), access plan, and printer preferences (paper width, auto-print, receipt copies, token label).
- Menu: categories, item names, prices, availability, optional stock, and menu photos if you upload them.
- Sales: token or bill number, line items and quantities, total amount, Cash or UPI method, time of sale, and void records. We do not collect diner names, phone numbers, card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank details of your customers.
- Website onboarding form: name, restaurant or stall name, phone / WhatsApp number, city, and an optional note, so we can contact you about POS setup.
- Device (on the phone): sign-in tokens stored in the device’s secure storage, and the Bluetooth printer you pair (a device label on that phone). We do not sell this data.
4. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Create and keep your restaurant account after onboarding, and let the owner sign in with OTP.
- Run billing, menu, stock, reports, void, and thermal print on that account.
- Send login and account OTPs by SMS.
- Host menu images so they load in the app.
- Provide support when you contact us (including WhatsApp).
- Follow up on website onboarding requests (call or WhatsApp).
- Secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal requests we are required to honour.
5. Android permissions
The Android app may request the following. You can deny a permission; some features (print or menu photos) will not work until you allow it.
- Bluetooth (scan and connect): to find and send receipts to a paired 58mm or 80mm ESC/POS thermal printer.
- Location (fine/approximate): Android uses this so the app can discover nearby Bluetooth printers. We do not use location for ads, maps, or tracking your stall on a map.
- Camera and photos: only so you can add menu item images. We do not access your gallery for any other purpose.
- Microphone: the Android package may include this permission because of platform or library requirements. POS by 0Gravity does not record, store, or upload audio.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We do not show third-party ads in the app. We share data only with processors who help us run the service, and only as needed:
- SMS: one-time passwords are sent through an SMS provider (for example Twilio, or an India DLT-registered SMS route).
- Images: menu photos are stored with Cloudinary so they can be delivered to the app.
- Hosting and database: account, menu, and sales data are stored on our servers and database so the POS can work.
- Google Play: if you install from Play, Google processes install and update data under Google’s policies.
- WhatsApp / Meta: if you message us on WhatsApp for onboarding or support, that chat is processed by Meta according to WhatsApp’s terms. We see the messages you send us.
7. This website
Our marketing website explains the product, pricing display, and how to request onboarding. If you use the contact form, we send your name, restaurant or stall name, phone number, city, and optional note to our database and to our onboarding email so we can call or WhatsApp you. We also store a one-way hash of your network address for a short time so the form cannot be spammed. If you instead chat on WhatsApp, Meta processes that conversation as described above.
8. How long we keep information
We keep account, restaurant, menu, and sales records while the restaurant is onboarded and the account is active, and for a reasonable period after if we must keep records for support, billing, or law.
OTP codes are short-lived and are deleted after they expire or after a successful login.
You may ask us to close the account and delete restaurant data we control, as set out below. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time until those backups rotate.
9. Security
We use industry-typical protections such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed OTP storage, and device secure storage for login tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Keep your phone locked and do not share OTPs.
10. Children
POS by 0Gravity is a business tool for restaurant and stall operators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Your choices and deletion
You can edit menu, restaurant phone, and printer settings in the app (where the product allows). To delete the owner account and associated restaurant data, use our Delete account page — that is the Google Play data-deletion URL. We verify that the request comes from the onboarded owner (registered mobile and restaurant name).
Uninstalling the app removes local tokens and the paired printer on that device; it does not by itself delete your restaurant data on our servers.
12. International processing
We operate for food businesses in India. Processors such as Cloudinary, SMS providers, or hosting may store or process data on servers in other countries. By using the app you understand that your information may be processed in those locations subject to this policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, permissions, or processors change. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page, which is the URL we submit to Google Play.
14. Contact
For privacy questions, data access, or deletion requests, contact 0Gravity on WhatsApp: +91 62042 39578. This is the same number used for restaurant onboarding support.
